About Us

We match each job to the building. The flint, the coursing and the lime all matter. We advise and build what suits the wall and the building, honestly and without fuss.

We are a small flint yard, where building flint is still knapped and squared by hand. To us flintwork is more than stone: knapped by hand and laid in lime, it faces a building, it lasts for centuries and it belongs to the landscape. That is what our work is about.

We work by hand. Knapping and squaring the flint, coursing and facing, laying in lime, step by step, with care. It is skilled, patient work, and that is where the difference from a machine-cut face lies.
